About Us

The Differentiate team comprises bright and experienced marketers who know about getting more growth in businesses from blue chip FMCG to other more entrepreneurial start ups.

We all care about doing the right thing to get more growth for our clients.  We know the buzz comes from success.   Also we have developed a strong grasp of what motivates each of us and how to work effectively as a team. 

We like facilitating meetings and our approach is different.  Both Stacey and Chris have been invited to present and to facilitate at major business events such as The Marketing Forum, The HR forum, The CRM forum, Finance Directors Forum.

Each of us also has other business interests which keep us in touch, up to date and open minded.  We think it is healthier for us to develop a range of experiences and contacts.  So when we are not working, we all seek new challenges in the great outdoors be it yacht racing, off piste skiing or mountain climbing.

Stacey Clark – Founding Partner

Stacey is the cool head at Differentiate and has developed expertise in how to influence teams and get the organisation to make decisions.  He has also developed our approaches to help clients create and harness consumer insights that will influence the retail customers to implement actions for growth.

After getting his MA at Cambridge, Stacey decided that Chemical Engineering was not for him and pursued a successful career as marketing and managing directors with United Biscuits, PepsiCo and Pizza Hut.  In 1996, Stacey discovered his more independent streak and set up the consultancy business with Chris.

Chris Radford – Founding Partner

Chris always sees things from the customers’ point of view and translates this into new ideas for growth – these has helped Differentiate develop the Growth Game.

After leaving Cambridge University with his MA, Chris decided to learn the sales and marketing business working with McVities, Terry’s, PepsiCo and HEAD.  In 1996 he played to his strengths of translating consumer insights into profitable growth and created this consultancy business with Stacey.

 

Susie Amann – Consultant

Susie shows us how to run projects more effectively and works with us contributing fresh insights and ideas and project management skills.

Susie moved on from Psychology at Oxford University to learn her profession with Masterfoods in sales and marketing.  After 5 years she moved to Dubai to help create a new foods business.  It was here she joined the Differentiate team.

Susie now splits her time between being a director of the family retail business and delivering Differentiate projects.

Phil Martin - Consultant

Phil makes those computer models hum.  Phil delivers complex analysis working flexibly when the demand is there.

Phil experimented with being a Lawyer and studied law at Bristol but got lured away by the excitement of marketing and used the funds he earned to go skiing.  Phil has developed a number of the tools we use at Differentiate and is expert at translating numbers into insights that help make decisions.
 

Shona Radford - Consultant

Shona ensures we get more from meetings.  She helped design our facilitation approach.  Shona runs our consumer workshops and more creative approaches to coming up with new ideas.

Shona studied History at Bristol and then pursued a career in sales and marketing with Unilever, United Biscuits and Mars.  Since then she has specialised in developing better ways to run meetings, so that teams come up with new ideas, learn more effectively or make positive decisions.

 

Joseph Khoury – Middle East partner

Joseph designed two quantitative analytical models that we use.  BEAM © and ICOM© are both powerful systems that translate consumer responses into useful insights that help us understand Power Attributes and Power Channels.  They are being used successfully by several clients on an international level.  Joseph frequently presents powerful papers at ESOMAR and other market research events.

Joseph co-founded REACH MASS an innovative market research firm operating in the Middle East.  We have developed a close association with REACH, working with them over the past 10 years.  Based in Lebanon, Dubai, Jeddah and Riyadh, Damascus and Amman, this gives us real "on the ground" operating capability in the Gulf states and the Levant.
